Accuracy Performance
Controlled testing by military-trained evaluators demonstrates
an average 5-round maximum spread of 1.62 inches at 15 feet. This
test was shot in sub-freezing temperatures with the operator switching
focus between the ETIR target and a control target. There was
also one magazine change during the test. The control round produced
a 1.9 inch pattern.

All test samples are randomly selected
from active production batches to ensure representative field
performance.
How a Small Projectile Can Approach Flash-Bang
Sound Levels
Although the ETIR projectile is physically small, its sealed internal
design allows it to generate a disproportionately strong acoustic
signature at the moment of impact. A useful way to understand
this is through a simple analogy:
If a small firecracker ignites in an open hand,
the effect is noticeable but limited because the gases can freely
escape. If that same firecracker were enclosed tightly, the pressure
would build rapidly and the resulting force would be far more
intense. The energy has not changed only the degree of
containment has.
The ETIR round operates on the same principle.
The micro-disruptive payload is fully enclosed within a rigid,
precision-sealed projectile tip. This containment forces the energetic
reaction to develop instantaneous, high-pressure output at the
moment of impact rather than dissipating prematurely. The result
is a short-duration pressure pulse that produces an acoustic signature
approaching that of much larger devices, despite the ETIRs
compact size.
This is not due to a large quantity of energetic
material, but rather the efficiency of energy transfer created
by the projectiles sealed construction. The design ensures
that nearly all of the payloads energy is delivered into
the target interface in a tightly focused, high-intensity event
which is why the ETIRs measured SPL can fall within
the lower range of flash-bang acoustic output while using a fraction
of the material.
