Agency Adoption Brief Exploding
Tip Impact Round (StrikeForce ETIR)
ATF-Classified Specialty Ammunition
Manufacturer: ForseMark, LLC (Sole U.S. Licensee)
Product Overview
The Exploding Tip Impact Round (StrikeForce ETIR) is a precision-engineered,
barrier-reactive projectile designed for controlled detonation
upon impact. Developed in direct response to agency requests for
a tool that neutralizes threats through barriers with minimal
deflection or overpenetration, StrikeForce ETIR delivers decisive tactical
advantage in high-risk environmentsespecially during vehicle
interdictions, barricade entries, and confined-space engagements.
Following a five-month review, the ATF formally created a new
ammunition classification ETIR (ForseMarks StrikeForce
) and licensed ForseMark, LLC as the sole authorized U.S.
manufacturer. This round is restricted to military and law enforcement
use only.
Operational Advantages
Explosive Impact Detonator: Tip is
engineered to detonate on contact with hard surfaces (e.g., glass,
metal, concrete), producing controlled fragmentation that disrupts
threat posture while minimizing ricochet and collateral risk.
Controlled Lethality: Fragmentation radius is tightly regulated
to maximize target effect without compromising nearby personnel
or infrastructure.
- Vehicle Disruption Capability: Capable
of disabling vehicle cooling systems (e.g., radiators, coolant
lines) to halt suspect mobility.
- Breaching Utility: Effective against
light doors and interior barricades, disrupting locking mechanisms
and panel integrity.
- Platform Compatibility:
Optimized for standard law enforcement rifles and carbines;
no weapon modification required.
- Suppressed Use Ready: Engineered
for reliable cycling and consistent performance in suppressed
platforms.
Use Case Scenarios
- Hostage rescue operations requiring immediate
threat stoppage through barriers
- Vehicle interdiction where traditional rounds
risk overpenetration or ricochet
- Tactical entries involving reinforced doors,
walls, or barricades
- Rural or wilderness operations where fragmentation
deters wildlife threats without full lethal force
- High-risk warrant service in confined or
cluttered environments
- Situations requiring rapid control transfer
through glass, metal, or structural barriers
